1.3 VOL Kindergarten Program Eligibility

Which students are eligible for the virtual program?

Volusia Online Learning (VOL) offers courses for grades K-12 to students who: 

  1. Reside in Volusia County.
  2. Are registered at their Volusia County School (VCS) zoned school as a current VCS student.
  3. Have an assigned VCS student ALPHA CODE (must be entered on application for enrollment).

What is the acceptance criteria for Volusia Online Learning?

Elementary

Middle

Grades 9-11

Grade 12

  • On Grade Level
  • No History of Truancy
  • No Previous VOL Revocations
  • FSA ELA Achievement Level 2 or higher (Grades 3-5)
  • On Grade Level
  • No History of Truancy
  • No Previous VOL Revocations
  • FSA ELA Achievement Level 2 or higher
  • On Grade Level
  • GPA 2.0 or higher
  • No History of Truancy
  • No previous VOL Revocations
  • FSA ELA Achievement Level 2 or higher
  • On Grade Level
  • GPA 2.0 or higher
  • No History of Truancy
  • No Previous VOL Revocations
  • FSA Grade 10 ELA Achievement Level 3 or higher or concordant score
  • Algebra 1 EOC Level 3 or higher or concordant score

Acceptance into Volusia Online Learning is contingent on students successfully completing the current school year using the acceptance criteria listed above.
