Florida Department of Health and Volusia County Schools to Offer Vaccination Clinics to Rising Seventh Graders

DELAND – The Florida Department of Health and Volusia County Schools will partner to offer free vaccination opportunities to all Volusia County rising seventh graders (students who will be in seventh grade in the 2021-2022 school year). This opportunity is being provided because parents often find it difficult to arrange for their children to receive state-mandated vaccinations to protect them from vaccine-preventable diseases and to satisfy state vaccination requirements.
Note: These vaccination clinics do not include the COVID-19 vaccine. The COVID-19 vaccine is not required for students to attend school or to work as an employee for Volusia County Schools.
The clinics will be offered June 7-8, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at four middle schools across the district.
More information about state-mandated immunization requirements for seventh graders can be found at the Department of Health's website.
