Commitment to a Healthy Environment
Volusia County Schools is committed to providing a safe and clean environment and asks families and employees to do their part to keep everyone healthy as the pandemic continues.
Classrooms, cafeterias, school buses, and school facilities are cleaned daily, and VCS encourages frequent handwashing/sanitizing. Face coverings are optional and voluntary in schools and other VCS facilities. Students, teachers, and staff who would like to wear appropriate face coverings can do so. The current face covering policy is available online.
VCS asks students, parents, and employees to stay home if they are sick or experiencing symptoms of illness.
VCS is closely monitoring the course of the virus.
COVID-19 vaccine opportunities are available at https://www.vcsedu.org/covid-19-information/vaccine-opportunities-ages-12-and-older. Information about COVID-19 is available on the Volusia County website and at the CDC website.
